Apple Watch Ultra 3 Key Specifications

OS: watchOS 26 | Compatibility: iOS | Display: 1.9″ OLED | Processor: Apple S10
Onboard storage: 32GB | Battery: 42 hours | Charging method: Wireless | IP rating: Water-resistant to 100m | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE, Ultra Wideband

Pros

  • Improved battery life
  • Brighter LTPO3 OLED display
  • Slightly thinner bezels
  • Rugged build & durability
  • Water resistance to 100m
  • Satellite connectivity (for SOS, messaging, location sharing off-grid)

Cons

  • Premium cost
  • Battery still not best for multi-week use

The best smartwatch for FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus is the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Pairing the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus with the Apple Watch Ultra 3 isn’t a perfect one-to-one connection, but it’s a relationship that works well enough for most people who want discreet glucose awareness on their wrist. Abbott’s Libre 2 system still relies primarily on the iPhone for data handling — the sensor transmits readings to the LibreLink app on your phone, not directly to the watch. That means your Apple Watch Ultra 3 won’t read glucose levels independently.

What it can do, however, is mirror every alert and notification your iPhone receives from the LibreLink app. When your blood glucose spikes or dips, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 vibrates or pings almost instantly, mirroring the iPhone notification. For most users, this setup provides a seamless, low-friction way to stay informed without constantly pulling out their phone.

A handful of third-party apps, like Sweet Dreams app, GlucoWatch and others in the App Store, promise to display live glucose readings and trend graphs on the watch face. These apps act as a bridge between the LibreLink app and the watch interface, using data relayed through the iPhone. They can work, but they’re unofficial, often require setup tweaks, and sometimes show delays in real-time updates.

Still, the Apple Watch Ultra 3’s bright, durable display and excellent haptics make it one of the best wearables for receiving Libre 2 notifications. Its larger screen helps make those alerts easy to read during workouts or outdoor activity, and battery life is more than strong enough to handle a day’s worth of glucose alerts without worry.

In short, while the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus doesn’t yet offer direct Apple Watch integration, pairing it with the Ultra 3 delivers a polished, practical experience for anyone who wants instant awareness of their glucose status. It’s not perfect, but it’s reliable, elegant, and closer than ever to feeling fully connected.

2. Apple Watch SE 3

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Apple Watch SE 3 Key Specifications

OS: watchOS 26 | Compatibility: iOS | Display: 1.78″ OLED | Processor: Apple S10 | Onboard storage: 32GB | Battery: 18 hours | Charging method: Wireless | IP rating: Water-resistant to 50m | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE

Pros

  • Always-on display
  • Faster processor (S10 chip)
  • Improved health and wellness features
  • Charges significantly quicker than earlier SE models
  • Better durability and display
  • Good value

Cons

  • Still missing some advanced health sensors
  • 18 hours of battery life in normal usage
  • Design is less premium and more traditional

Pairing the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus with the Apple Watch SE 3 delivers a clean, dependable experience — but one that’s still tied closely to the iPhone. Like all Apple Watches, the SE 3 doesn’t connect directly to Abbott’s glucose sensor. Instead, it works as an elegant companion, mirroring every glucose alert and notification that comes through the LibreLink app on your iPhone.

That means when your blood sugar goes above or below your set range, your watch instantly mirrors the phone’s alert — a vibration, a ping, or a wrist pop-up that tells you exactly what’s happening. For most users, that’s more than enough. It keeps glucose awareness seamless, quiet, and convenient, especially in public or while exercising.

Where things get more advanced is through third-party apps that act as bridges. A few developers have found ways to sync the Libre 2’s readings from the iPhone to the watch interface using unofficial integrations. These solutions can display glucose levels, graphs, and trend lines directly on the watch face — but they rely on the iPhone as a middleman, and setup can be a bit technical. Still, users in online diabetes forums often report success after some fine-tuning.

The Apple Watch SE 3 itself is well-suited for this role. It offers the same software experience as Apple’s high-end models — crisp notifications, smooth animations, and reliable health alerts — all at a more affordable price. Its lightweight design and strong battery life make it comfortable for all-day wear, including sleep tracking and fitness.

So while the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and Apple Watch SE 3 combo doesn’t yet offer direct sensor-to-watch communication, it provides a solid, practical setup for anyone who wants to stay in tune with their glucose trends. It’s understated, dependable, and fully capable of keeping you informed at a glance — even if your iPhone does most of the behind-the-scenes work.

3. Apple Watch Series 11

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Apple Watch Series 11 Key Specifications

OS: watchOS 26 | Compatibility: iOS | Display: Always-On Retina LTPO OLED | Processor: Apple S10 | Onboard storage: 64GB | Battery: Up to 24 hours | Charging method: Fast wireless | IP rating: Water-resistant to 50m (5ATM) | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 5G, Ultra Wideband

Pros

  • Longer battery life
  • Better durability/more scratch-resistant display
  • New health & wellness features

Cons

  • Minimal design changes

The Apple Watch Series 11 builds on everything Apple has refined over the years — sharper health tracking, faster response times, and longer battery life — but when it comes to glucose monitoring with the FreeStyle Libre 2, the relationship remains largely unchanged. Abbott’s current setup in the U.S. still routes all data through the iPhone. That means the watch itself doesn’t communicate directly with the sensor; instead, it mirrors whatever the LibreLink app receives.

In practice, this setup works better than it sounds. The Series 11’s vivid display and subtle haptics make every glucose alert feel immediate and effortless. When your blood sugar drifts too high or too low, you’ll feel a quick tap on your wrist or see an alert flash on the screen — a quiet nudge that doesn’t interrupt your day. For many users, this level of connection is enough: it keeps them aware without requiring constant interaction with their phone.

For those who want more, third-party apps once again fill the gap. Several unofficial tools can pull glucose data from the iPhone and display it in near real time on the watch face. These apps essentially act as a visual relay — letting you see your current glucose reading, trend arrows, and even short-term graphs right from your wrist. It’s not officially supported by Abbott, and setup takes a little patience, but many users say it makes the experience feel much closer to full integration.

The Apple Watch Series 11’s larger screen, brighter Always-On display, and extended battery life make it particularly well-suited for this kind of monitoring. Whether you’re working out, sleeping, or just on the move, alerts and readings remain visible and easy to check at a glance.

Ultimately, the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and Apple Watch Series 11 pairing is a blend of limitation and refinement — official restrictions balanced by Apple’s seamless ecosystem. While direct sensor-to-watch communication isn’t here yet, the experience is polished, responsive, and dependable enough to make daily glucose awareness feel almost effortless.

4. Samsung Galaxy Watch 8

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Key Specifications

OS: Wear OS 5, One UI Watch 6 | Compatibility: Android | Display: 1.5-inch Super AMOLED, 480 x 480 pixels (~327 ppi) | Processor: Exynos W1000 (5-core, 3nm) | RAM: 2GB | Storage: 32GB | Battery: 425 mAh | Charging: Fast Qi wireless charging | Sensors: Heart rate, SpO2, ECG, BioActive, temperature | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, LTE (optional) | Durability: IP68, 5ATM, MIL-STD-810H

Pros

  • Bright, vivid display
  • Slimmer, more comfortable design
  • Improved health, wellness & fitness tracking
  • Robust build & durability

Cons

  • Battery life is modest
  • Charging speed isn’t great

When it comes to pairing the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, the experience is a little more flexible — but also a bit more experimental. Abbott still doesn’t offer direct smartwatch integration for the Libre 2 in the U.S., which means, officially, you won’t find a native app in the Galaxy Store that streams glucose data straight from the sensor to your wrist. However, Android’s open ecosystem gives users more room to customize how the watch displays glucose readings, and that’s where things get interesting.

In everyday use, the Galaxy Watch 8 can mirror alerts from the LibreLink app on your phone just like the Apple Watch does. Whenever your glucose level rises or drops beyond your target range, the watch vibrates or flashes an alert — reliable, fast, and convenient. This notification mirroring alone covers the essentials for many users who just want quick awareness throughout the day.

But for those who want live glucose data on the watch face, third-party Android tools have opened up new possibilities. Apps like Diabox, Juggluco, and xDrip+ have been widely discussed in online diabetes communities for bridging the gap between the Libre 2 sensor and Android watches. These tools can relay real-time glucose data — complete with charts, trend arrows, and even historical graphs — directly to the Galaxy Watch 8, as long as the paired Android phone is nearby.

Because these are unofficial methods, setup can take some tinkering, and Abbott doesn’t provide support for them. Still, users who’ve experimented with these apps often describe the experience as surprisingly smooth once configured — the watch shows continuous glucose updates, right on the face, without having to reach for the phone.

The Galaxy Watch 8’s sharp AMOLED display and all-day battery life make it a capable partner for this kind of real-time monitoring. It’s discreet, bright in sunlight, and integrates naturally with Samsung Health features for those who want a fuller view of their fitness and metabolic trends in one place.

In short, the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus and Galaxy Watch 8 pairing sits at the edge of innovation — officially limited, yet quietly powerful through Android’s openness. It takes a little effort, but for users who enjoy flexibility and don’t mind fine-tuning, the result can feel almost like a fully integrated glucose-tracking smartwatch.

5. Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Key Specifications

OS: Wear OS (One UI Watch 6) | Compatibility: Android | Display: 480 x 480 px full-color AMOLED | Processor:Exynos W1000 | Onboard storage:32GB | Battery duration:Up to 100 hours | Charging method:Qi wireless charging | IP rating: IP68 + 10ATM | Connectivity:Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS

Pros

  • Powerful fitness features
  • Durable and rugged

Cons

  • Quite expensive
  • Best suited for Samsung phones

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is a top contender for users seeking a smartwatch that pairs well with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus glucose monitoring system, especially for those in the Android ecosystem. With a robust titanium frame and a bold, premium design, it exudes durability and sophistication, making it suitable for everyday wear and outdoor activity alike.

Its large Super AMOLED display stands out immediately—bright, crisp, and easy to read even in harsh sunlight. This is particularly useful for users who need quick visibility of their glucose data throughout the day. Whether you’re checking real-time readings through a connected third-party app or navigating health and fitness tools, the clarity and responsiveness of the screen enhance the overall user experience.

At the heart of the watch lies the updated Exynos W1000 chipset, which delivers smooth and efficient performance. It works best when paired with a Samsung phone, offering seamless access to a wide range of Samsung-exclusive features. While it doesn’t support iPhones—mirroring Apple’s own platform limitations—it integrates well with Android apps, including those that connect with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus system through workarounds or companion apps that support NFC-based scanning.

For those who live active lifestyles or manage their glucose while on the move, the Galaxy Watch Ultra includes reliable dual-frequency GPS for precise location tracking. It’s equipped with advanced health features, including body composition analysis and continuous heart rate monitoring—tools that add depth to your overall health profile when viewed alongside glucose trends.

Its sleep tracking and recovery tools further round out the wellness suite, offering users the ability to track rest and recovery, which are critical for individuals managing blood sugar levels. However, the size and heft of the watch, while a testament to its ruggedness, may feel bulky for overnight use or those with smaller wrists.

In all, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra presents itself as a powerful option for FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus users looking for a premium smartwatch experience on Android. It combines high-end fitness capabilities with smart integration options, although it’s best suited for those who are comfortable with a larger, more rugged design and who don’t require native iOS compatibility.

6. Apple Watch Ultra 2

Apple Watch Ultra 2 Key Specifications

OS: watchOS 11 | Compatibility: iOS | Display: 1.9″ OLED | Processor: Apple S9 | Onboard storage: 32GB | Battery: 36 hours | Charging method: Wireless | IP rating: Water-resistant to 100m | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE, Ultra Wideband

Pros

  • Bright, large display
  • Handy action button

Cons

  • Battery life, though better, still lacks
  • Ultra Wideband limited to iPhone 15 and 16

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is one of the best smartwatches for users of the FreeStyle Libre 2, offering a blend of advanced features and robust design that align well with the needs of health-conscious individuals. Its standout feature is the ultra-bright Retina OLED display, which reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. This ensures easy visibility whether you’re checking your glucose trends in bright daylight or glancing at your health metrics in dim conditions.

Visually, the Ultra 2 is larger and more rugged than standard Apple Watch models, housed in a durable titanium case that’s engineered to endure harsh environments. Its size and toughness make it suitable for active users, especially those who lead dynamic lifestyles or spend time outdoors. The watch is powered by Apple’s S9 processor, which not only enhances performance but also supports intuitive features like the Double Tap gesture, making interaction quick and accessible, even if your other hand is occupied.

Functionally, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 integrates seamlessly with the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus via third-party apps and health platforms, allowing users to view glucose data and trends conveniently on their wrist. The watchOS environment, in conjunction with HealthKit-compatible apps, makes it easier to track and respond to blood sugar readings in real time, supporting better diabetes management. The watch’s highly accurate GPS, navigation tools, and rugged build make it especially useful for active users who want to monitor their glucose levels during hikes, workouts, or travel.

One of its highlights is the expanded battery life, which performs better than typical Apple Watch models, offering more room for continuous glucose monitoring without the need for constant recharging. This is particularly beneficial for users who depend on steady, reliable health tracking throughout the day and night. The Ultra 2 also supports advanced wellness features such as sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and customizable alerts—tools that complement glucose tracking by giving users a fuller picture of their overall health.

Although it doesn’t function independently from the iPhone—meaning you’ll still need a compatible Apple device to access its full capabilities—it delivers a superior smartwatch experience for Libre 2 users who are within the Apple ecosystem. While the price is certainly on the higher side, the Ultra 2 justifies it with premium build quality, high-end display technology, and features designed to support both active lifestyles and serious health tracking.

Overall, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is not just a premium smartwatch—it’s one of the most reliable companions for FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus users, especially those who demand accuracy, endurance, and ease of access to their health data on the go.

7. Samsung Galaxy Watch7

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Key Specifications

OS: Android Wear OS 5, One UI Watch 6 | Compatibility: Android | Display: 480 x 480 pixels (~327 ppi density) | Processor:Exynos W1000 | Onboard storage:32GB | Battery: 425 mAh | Charging method:Qi wireless charging | IP rating: IP68 | Connectivity:Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS

Pros

  • Accurate and detailed sleep data
  • AI-powered wellness features
  • Smooth, responsive interface
  • Ample storage
  • Precise GPS and workout tracking

Cons

  • Limited one-day battery life
  • Design unchanged from predecessor

The Galaxy Watch7 continues Samsung’s tradition of delivering sleek and well-rounded designs in their smartwatch lineup. The watch has a familiar aesthetic, featuring a circular frame with stylish 20-mm straps that lend it an understated yet polished look. While the overall design isn’t groundbreaking, it’s elegant in its simplicity, making it a versatile accessory that can fit both casual and more formal settings. However, if you’re looking for something that stands out visually, the Watch7 might feel a bit plain.

Where this smartwatch shines is in its ever-evolving integration of technology, particularly in health and fitness tracking. One of the key upgrades is the inclusion of AI-driven algorithms designed to enhance your overall wellness experience. Features like the Energy Score offer a convenient way to assess your day’s potential by providing a numeric summary of your energy levels in the morning. This score is backed by various health metrics, making it easier to determine whether you should push for a more active day or opt for rest.

Sleep tracking is another core function that Samsung has updated, though not without some quirks. While the Galaxy Watch7 provides comprehensive sleep data, there are occasional gaps where tracking seems to halt mid-sleep. The FDA-cleared sleep apnea detection feature adds value, though it requires two consecutive nights of tracking to give you a clear assessment of whether you show symptoms. It’s a useful tool, but one that you won’t use constantly. The electrocardiogram (ECG) and irregular heart rhythm notifications are great additions, but they, along with the sleep apnea detection, are only accessible if you pair the watch with a Samsung smartphone. That said, the watch still works well with other Android devices, offering most of its functionality.

The Galaxy Watch7 comes in two sizes, and you can choose between Bluetooth-only or LTE-enabled versions, depending on your needs. One of the more disappointing aspects of this watch is its battery life. While previous models could last longer, the Watch7 struggles to make it through a full day, especially with the always-on display enabled. Tracking activities and sleep further drain the battery, and turning off the always-on display only marginally improves performance. You may need to rely heavily on power-saving modes or keep the charger nearby to ensure it lasts through the day.

Despite these battery shortcomings, the Galaxy Watch7 is packed with features that make daily use enjoyable. It’s easy to check notifications, respond to messages, and even control your smart home devices through SmartThings or Google Home. If you can manage the battery, the Galaxy Watch7 serves as a capable and intelligent companion, perfect for users who want a well-rounded smartwatch experience.

8. Apple Watch SE 2

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Apple Watch SE 2 Key Specifications

OS: watchOS 11 | Compatibility: iOS ” | Display: 1.78″ OLED | Processor: Apple S8 | Onboard storage: 32GB | Battery: 18 hours | Charging method: Wireless | IP rating: Water-resistant to 50m | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, LTE

Pros

  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Good battery life for the price
  • Offers updated features compared to older, budget Apple Watches

Cons

  • Lacks always-on display and ECG
  • Nylon back

The Apple Watch SE 2 is widely regarded as the ideal choice for many Apple Watch users due to its more affordable price point, especially when compared to higher-end models like the Apple Watch Series 10. Despite being more budget-friendly, it still delivers a substantial array of features, maintaining a high standard of performance for everyday use.

One of the standout aspects of the Apple Watch SE 2 is that it shares the same powerful chipset as the Apple Watch Series 8. This ensures that it offers fast and efficient performance, making it capable of handling tasks like tracking workouts, responding to notifications, and running apps smoothly. It provides the core experience that many users look for in an Apple Watch, without the higher price tag associated with more advanced models.

However, the SE 2 does omit certain premium features found in the Series 8 and beyond. Most notably, it lacks an always-on display, which means the screen stays off until you raise your wrist or tap it. It also doesn’t include ECG (electrocardiogram) or blood oxygen monitoring, which are features geared toward more advanced health tracking and are found in the Series 8. It’s worth noting that the newer Series 9 and Series 10 no longer offer blood oxygen tracking either, which somewhat reduces the impact of this missing feature in the SE 2. Additionally, the Apple Watch SE 2 doesn’t support the Double Tap feature introduced in the Series 9, which allows for easy control of the watch using just a tapping motion with your fingers.

Despite these omissions, the Apple Watch SE 2 is far from limited. It still boasts a wide range of health and fitness tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, activity tracking, sleep tracking, and workout detection. It also includes critical safety features, such as fall detection and the potentially life-saving Car Crash Detection, which can alert emergency services if you’re involved in a severe accident.

On the hardware side, the SE 2 is lightweight, comfortable to wear, and offers excellent battery life for a fully-featured smartwatch. This balance of performance, comfort, and price makes it an attractive option for those who want a capable smartwatch without paying for advanced features they might not need.

9. Apple Watch Series 10

Best Smartwatches for FreeStyle Libre 2 plus

Apple Watch Series 10 Key Specifications

OS: WatchOS 11 | Compatibility: iOS ” | Display: 1.9″ OLED | Processor: Apple S10 | Onboard storage: 64GB | Battery: 18 hours | Charging method: Wireless | IP rating: IP6X | Connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE

Pros

  • Larger, brighter display
  • Slimmer and lighter design
  • Faster charging
  • New sleep apnea tracking

Cons

  • No blood oxygen sensing

The Apple Watch Series 10, while marketed as having an “all-new” design, doesn’t stray too far from the familiar look that Apple Watch users have come to know. However, Apple has made some subtle yet significant upgrades that improve the overall experience. For starters, the watch is now thinner and lighter, making it more comfortable for extended wear. The display size is another notable improvement—the 46-mm model offers a larger screen than even the 49-mm Apple Watch Ultra 2, providing more real estate for navigation and interacting with apps.

Charging has been slightly optimized, making the Series 10 charge faster than previous models, which is always a welcome improvement. The most groundbreaking addition, though, is the inclusion of a US FDA–cleared sleep apnea tracking feature. For those who struggle with sleep disorders, this could be a game-changer, offering a level of health monitoring that few wearables can match.

Style-wise, the Series 10 debuts a new jet-black finish, a sleek option that even Batman might approve of. But beyond aesthetics, the watch shines with its robust suite of health features, including fall detection and the ability to take electrocardiograms (ECGs), making it a reliable health companion. Its integration with third-party apps remains unrivaled, turning the device into more than just a fitness tracker—it’s practically a tiny, powerful extension of your iPhone.

Yet, as with any tech upgrade, there’s the question of whether it’s necessary. If you own a Series 6 or later, you’re likely already benefiting from many of the core features brought by WatchOS 11. One glaring omission from the Series 10 is blood oxygen sensing, which remains unavailable due to ongoing litigation. Additionally, Apple hasn’t tackled one of the biggest complaints about its smartwatches—the 18-hour battery life, which has remained frustratingly low for several generations.

While the Series 10 is arguably the best smartwatch available right now, it might not compel existing users to upgrade immediately, especially if they are satisfied with their current model. However, if you’re in the market for accessories to spice up the look, be sure to check out Apple’s guide to the Best Apple Watch Accessories, where you can find a variety of straps to customize your new watch.

Apple Watch Ultra Key Specifications

Sizes: 49mm | GPS: Yes | Swim proof: Yes | Sleep tracking: Yes | Heart rate monitor: Yes | SpO2 monitor: Yes | Battery life: 36 hours | Compatibility: iOS

Pros

  • Action button added
  • Emergency siren feature
  • Excellent battery life
  • Dual-frequency GPS

Cons

  • Bulky
  • Expensive

Let’s start with its design, which is both bold and practical. The Apple Watch Ultra is a massive smartwatch, thanks to its 49mm flat display. That extra screen space has made a huge difference in my everyday use. Whether you are checking notifications, navigating with maps, or enjoying the customizable complications on the watch face, everything is much easier to see. For workouts, We especially appreciate the extra metric visibility — at a glance, you can check my progress or heart rate, which adds to the experience of tracking my fitness. However, the size can be uncomfortable, especially when it comes to sleep tracking.

The Action Button is one of the most exciting new additions to the Ultra. This extra customizable button lets you quickly launch a preset tool or function with just a single press, and we find it incredibly useful. Some mostly use it to start my workouts or activate the flashlight, which, surprisingly, has become one of the features many rely on regularly. However, we do wish the Action Button had even more customization options, like opening any third-party app directly without needing to set up a Shortcut.

From a safety perspective, the Apple Watch Ultra really shines. The siren feature offers great peace of mind, especially since I often walk alone at night. While I haven’t needed to use it yet, just knowing it’s there makes me feel more secure.

When it comes to battery life, this is where the Apple Watch Ultra truly delivers. With LTE enabled, the battery lasts about 36 hours, which is reasonable given the level of connectivity. Before enabling LTE, I could go almost two full days between charges. This is a huge improvement compared to the daily charging routine I was used to with previous Apple Watches. I expected to use low-power mode more often, but with charging options always nearby, I haven’t found the need.

That said, the price of the Apple Watch Ultra is still a bit hard to swallow. It’s not cheap, and while it’s packed with features, many of them are overkill for the average user. For people who want a more basic experience, the Apple Watch Series 8 or even the Apple Watch SE might be a more cost-effective option. However, if you want a smartwatch that can almost replace your phone and is tough enough for just about any situation, the Ultra is a strong contender.

Apple Watch Series 8 Key Specifications

Sizes: 41mm, 45mm | GPS: Yes | Swim proof: Yes | Sleep tracking: Yes | Heart rate monitor: Yes | SpO2 monitor: Yes | Battery life: 18 hours | Compatibility: iOS

Pros

  • Outstanding display
  • Durable design
  • Enhanced crash detection
  • Effective sleep tracking

Cons

  • Similar to Apple Watch Series 7

The Apple Watch Series 8 represents a modest evolution from its predecessor, the Series 7, but introduces several noteworthy features that enhance its functionality. A standout addition is the skin temperature sensor, which significantly aids in cycle and fertility tracking, along with improving sleep tracking. This feature makes it especially valuable for individuals who menstruate or are interested in monitoring their reproductive health.

Another significant upgrade is the introduction of low power mode, allowing the Series 8 to extend its battery life up to 36 hours. This enhancement is particularly useful for users who rely on their watch for extended periods without the need for frequent charging.

The crash detection feature is another exciting addition. Utilizing enhanced motion sensors, this feature provides immediate assistance in emergency situations, adding a layer of safety for users during their daily activities.

In terms of design, the Series 8 retains the familiar aesthetic seen in the Series 4, 5, and 6, which many users appreciate. Interestingly, Apple has also reduced the price compared to previous models, making it a more accessible option.

Despite being a minor upgrade from the Series 7, the Apple Watch Series 8 stands out as one of the best smartwatches on the market. With its comprehensive health tracking capabilities and the integration of watchOS 9, it excels as both a health monitor and a communication tool. Whether you’re using it for fitness, managing calls, or accessing the latest Apple Watch apps, the Series 8 is an excellent choice, especially for those within the Apple ecosystem. If you own an iPhone, this smartwatch is undoubtedly a top contender for your wrist.
